A look behind the scenes at the TENP construction site

The Trans Europa Naturgas Pipeline (TENP) is one of the most important European pipeline links for the supply of natural gas. It stretches around 500 kilometres from the German-Dutch border to the Swiss border and consists of two parallel pipe strings, TENP I and TENP II.

For technical reasons, existing sections of TENP I have to be replaced by the new TENP III pipeline. This project is being carried out by Trans Europa Naturgas Pipeline GmbH & Co KG, a subsidiary of Open Grid Europe GmbH (OGE) and Fluxys TENP GmbH, with OGE responsible for the overall planning of the TENP III expansion.

A project of this magnitude comes with numerous challenges. From planning and permitting procedures to the actual construction work – every step requires precise coordination and close cooperation between different teams and partners. Our film shows some of the project highlights and explains how project managers, planners and construction managers tackle their individual challenges while always keeping the common goal in mind.

Our goal is to make the construction process transparent for everyone and to minimise the impact on the landscape and the local community. We want to show how we are protecting the environment through careful planning and the use of innovative technologies, while at the same time ensuring security of supply in Europe.

And now, we invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy our film (only in German) about the TENP construction project. Find out first-hand how much passion and commitment has gone into this project and how we are shaping the future of energy supply together.
